On May 29, our CEO Edwin Mata went live for a no-holds-barred AMA that brought clarity, momentum, and a bold vision for our next phase. From the explosive growth in Total Value Locked (TVL) to a groundbreaking new tokenization standard, this session was a deep dive into whatâs shaping the RWA ecosystem and how Brickken is leading it.
â
Here are the most important highlights:
Edwin confirmed what many had noticed, Brickkenâs TVL has now surpassed $35 million, outpacing internal KPIs and surpassing expectations for H1 2025. The uptick reflects successful client issuance, economic tailwinds, and increasing adoption of Brickkenâs platform.
â
âTVL is a symptom of the value weâre delivering. It means our infrastructure works, and our clients are winning.â Edwin Mata
The major highlight: is the development of a proposed Ethereum standard for tokenized assets, EIP-7943: the Universal RWA Interface (uRWA).
â
This open standard was authored by co-founder Dario Lo Buglio, which aims to provide a modular, permissionless, and compliant foundation for all RWA implementationsâ one that is designed to serve the entire Ethereum ecosystem, not just a single company or platform.
â
âThe goal is simple: a standard that doesnât belong to Brickken, but to everyone building the future of tokenized finance.â â Edwin Mata
â
Brickken is collaborating with over 10 other companies, including direct competitors to shape this open standard for the benefit of the entire RWA ecosystem.
Brickken is now in advanced talks with large institutions and funds about tokenizing new asset classes. While specifics are under wraps, Edwin teased:
â
âBy the next AMA, we hope to reveal some of the biggest tokenizations weâve ever done.â
â
The pipeline is strong, and the team is focused on quality onboarding, scalable infrastructure, and real business outcomes, not hype.
When asked about community governance, Edwin acknowledged past DAO experiments but explained why Brickken is not prioritizing decentralized governance at the moment. Instead, he confirmed plans to open equity participation to loyal BKN holders in Brickkenâs Series A (2026â27). Inspired by successful models like Hacken, the move would offer token holders a new layer of ownership and alignment with Brickkenâs long-term mission.
Brickkenâs focus is on private markets, real-world businesses, and fast-moving tokenizations, not just public securities.
â
âWeâre not competing with Securitize or trying to be the Nasdaq of blockchain. Weâre bringing private markets on-chain. Itâs a different trenchâand weâre owning it.â
â
The company remains chain-agnostic but is exploring zkSync and ZK rollups to enable privacy-preserving, compliant asset issuance for clients in sensitive sectors.
One of the strongest takeaways from the AMA was Edwinâs call for collaboration over competition in the RWA space:
â
âOur real competitor isnât another tokenization company, its regulatory fragmentation, slow-moving institutions, and legacy systems. If we want tokenization to succeed, we need standards that everyone can build on.â
Yes, itâs still coming. But Edwin made it clear: the timing must align with our growth strategy, macro trends, and data-driven indicators.
This AMA wasnât just about updates. It was about setting a new tone: we are stepping into the role as leaders, not only in infrastructure but in shaping how the entire tokenization industry matures.
â
From pushing open standards to onboarding enterprise clients,
From expanding into new chains to launching new products,
From internal alignment to ecosystem-wide collaboration.

Brickkenâs next chapter is here.
