Yesterday, our CEO Edwin Mata hosted the first Community AMA of the year, setting the tone for what is shaping up to be our most important year to date.
Rather than focusing on a single announcement, the AMA outlined how we have evolved over the past five years and, more importantly, how 2026 marks the transition from growth to scale as institutional tokenization infrastructure.
Below is a recap of the most important updates shared during the session.
Where Brickken Stands Today
We are entering 2026 with strong fundamentals and clear market validation:
- $450M+ in total tokenized value.
- 100+ active clients across more than 16 countries.
- 40+ team members across technology, legal, sales, operations, and finance.
- A profitable, revenue-generating business with sustained month-over-month growth.
We are not positioning ourselves as a crypto-native experiment, but as an infrastructure company enabling institutions to tokenize and manage assets efficiently, compliantly, and at scale.
From Tokenization Platform to Institutional Infrastructure
A key theme of the AMA was our long-term evolution:
- 2020–2021: Vision, regulatory validation, early funding
- 2022: Deep product development during the bear market
- 2023: MVP launch and first institutional clients
- 2024: Ecosystem expansion and regulatory sandbox participation
- 2025: Scale, seed funding, and infrastructure maturity
- 2026: Institutional expansion and global execution
This journey has shaped us into a full end-to-end tokenization stack, rather than a point solution.
2025 Highlights That Set the Stage
Several milestones from 2025 explain why we are positioned for scale:
- Completion of a €2.5M seed round at a €22.5M post-money valuation.
- Deployment on MANTRA Chain and XDC Network.
- Recognition among Europe’s Top 250 fastest-growing startups by Sifted.
- Platform TVL surpassing $41M.
- Introduction of EIP-7943, now progressing toward ERC status, embedding Brickken’s know-how into an open tokenization standard.
These were not symbolic wins. They were operational and market-driven validations.
What Brickken Is Focusing on in 2026
- Institutional Expansion & Regulation
We will prioritize regulatory depth and operational readiness:
- Custody and brokerage licensing in Europe.
- Parallel regulatory expansion in Dubai.
- Establishing Dubai as a regional hub for institutions, partners, and regulators.
This enables us to move beyond pure software delivery into regulated institutional workflows where appropriate.
- Product & Infrastructure Roadmap
Key developments planned for 2026 include:
- BKN 2 upgrade, aligned with modern smart contract standards.
- Native Chainlink CCIP integration for cross-chain settlement and interoperability.
- Deeper embedding of BKN into platform workflows such as issuance, compliance, and settlement.
- Continued expansion of white-label and API-driven deployments for enterprises and blockchains.
Edwin emphasized that these upgrades are evolutionary, not disruptive, ensuring continuity for users and token holders.
- Utility to Equity: Aligning Long-Term Builders
One of the most important strategic signals shared during the AMA was our plan to allow BKN holders to swap tokens for equity during the upcoming Series A process. This reinforces:
- Long-term alignment between the company and its community.
- Confidence in our own tokenization infrastructure.
- A clear distinction between speculative participation and ownership in a growing business.
Details will be disclosed when regulatory and procedural milestones are finalized.
Staking Update in Context
The AMA also covered an update to BKN staking:
- Staking APY adjusted to 5%.
- Inflation reduced to support long-term sustainability.
- Focus shifting from incentives to utility-driven value.
This update was presented as a risk management and sustainability measure, aligned with our institutional direction, not as a standalone event.
A Clear Message for 2026
The central takeaway from the AMA was simple:
Brickken has completed the foundation phase. 2026 is about execution, scale, and institutional adoption.
With a mature product, regulatory strategy, strong partners, and a growing global presence, we are entering the year positioned to become a defining infrastructure provider for real-world asset tokenization.
