📝 Brief Description
We are looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our company’s financial reporting. This role is responsible for managing accounting processes, monitoring financial performance, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally, implement effective controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily expense control, including bank, card, and crypto wallet reconciliations.
- Collect and file all invoices and receipts, ensuring correct coding, VAT information, and proper approvals.
- Prepare and execute payments while enforcing approval flows and compliance with the Payment & Expense Policy.
- Perform 3-way matching where applicable (PO → invoice → receipt) and maintain the payment calendar and cash-out forecast.
- Support the Month-End Close process (in coordination with outsourced accountants), preparing schedules, reviewing journal entries, and validating provider reports.
- Maintain and report KPIs for crypto operations (wallet/exchange balances, staking/yield, fees, realized P&L), ensuring alignment with the accounting provider.
- Produce weekly cash flow reports and monthly management packs, and support ad-hoc financial analyses.
🎯 Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Finance or Controlling, preferably in Spain.
- Strong background in treasury operations, AP/AR management, reconciliations, expense invoice collection, and policy compliance.
- Proven experience coordinating outsourced accounting providers.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with BI tools.
- Comfortable working with Wise, Stripe, banking portals, and expense/T&E systems.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
